Social groups for teenagers on the autistic continuum aged 12 - 17
Dear Parents,
Welcome to adolescence.
The center offers social groups for autistic teenagers to help you and them during this developmental stage.
The groups are small and will primarily focus on communication skills within relationships during adolescence.
The work will emphasize:

Cooperation.

Empathy and perspective-taking.

Cognitive flexibility.
-
Acquiring essential knowledge.
-
Personal work within a group setting.
-
Physical awareness.
-
Public speaking among peers.
-
Navigating social media, and more.
-
Personal hygiene habits.
Each session will begin with a joint dinner preparation activity with the children, followed by a group meeting for content and guided activities.
Sample session:

Gathering and assignment of dinner tasks.

Organizing and preparing the meal, instilling cleanliness habits.

Cleanup, guided by the facilitator, followed by a group meeting.

Meeting: Activity, knowledge sharing, discussion, lecture, personal task.
Group Facilitator
Dikla Morgan (M.A)
Educational counselor specializing in special education.
Couples and family counselor with extensive experience in guiding and leading groups and working with adolescents on the spectrum.
Registration Details:

Planned start date: Coming soon, in the evening. Session duration – 1.5 hours.

Location: Or Akiva.

Program Structure: 10 sessions, once a week.
Participation in all sessions is required for the success of the therapeutic process.
Registration will be available after an introductory meeting between the facilitator, the parents, and the child. The introductory meeting is free of charge.
